Degreasing
Removes oil, grease and dirt from the raw metal surface.
Water Rinse 1
Rinses off the cleaning agent before the next stage.
Derusting / Pickling
Removes rust and scale to expose clean, bare metal.
Water Rinse 2
Rinses off residual acid from the pickling stage.
Neutralizing
Neutralizes any remaining acid reaction on the surface.
Water Rinse 3
Rinses off neutralizing residues before phosphating.
Phosphating
Creates a protective phosphate layer so the coating bonds permanently.
Water Rinse 4
A final rinse with clean water before passivation.
Passivation
Enhances corrosion resistance ahead of the powder coating booth.
